At the reception, Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet welcomed and highly appreciated the support and cooperation of the Office of the Francophone University Agency over the past 30 years with Vietnamese universities in the fields of teaching and research.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that this cooperation is important in the context of Vietnam entering a new development stage, prioritizing the development of science , technology, basic research, and improving labor quality.
The leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs suggested that the Office of the Francophone University Agency focus on cooperation in improving the quality of governance and training strategies of schools to keep up with the development needs of society, strengthen connections and links with Vietnamese universities and universities in developed countries, especially in the fields of basic sciences and promote job opportunities for students.
Affirming the importance of the role and contributions of the Office of the Francophone University Agency to Vietnam as well as the Francophone space, the Deputy Minister emphasized that Vietnamese ministries and branches always pay attention and create conditions for the Office of the Francophone University Agency in Hanoi to best perform its tasks.

Director of the Office of the Francophone University Agency, Mr. Nicolas Mainetti affirmed that Vietnam is an important member of the Office of the Francophone University Agency in the Asia-Pacific region.
In recent times, the Office of the Francophone University Agency has been implementing many cooperation projects with universities in the fields of scientific research, building smart cities, responding to climate change, developing green-clean energy, etc.
He affirmed that the Office of the Francophone University Agency will continue to promote cooperation to meet Vietnam's priorities, contributing to Vietnam's development.
The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie was founded in 1961. With 1007 member higher education and research institutions in 120 countries, the AUF is currently the largest university network in the world. The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie opened its Asia-Pacific Regional Office in Hanoi in 1993. The Office currently coordinates cooperation with 87 member schools in 13 countries and territories in the region, including 47 Vietnamese universities. |
