On November 17, in Binh Duong province, the Ministry of Science and Technology coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to organize the 16th Southeast Region Science and Technology Conference in 2023 with the participation of leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of the provinces and cities: Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau , Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City.

The conference aims to deploy the Action Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology to implement Resolution No. 154/NQ-CP of the Government on the direction of socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the Southeast region to 2030, with a vision to 2045; Directive of the Prime Minister on promoting science and technology activities and innovation in the Southeast region, in which Ho Chi Minh City plays a leading role and summarizes and evaluates the results of science and technology activities in the period of 2019-2023.

At the conference, a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Departments of Science and Technology of the Southeast region took place in linking and sharing data of the technology exchange.
