Discussing specific measures to promote bilateral cooperation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed the positive developments in the bilateral relationship in recent times, especially in politics , diplomacy, economy, trade, etc.; suggested that the two sides continue to promote delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels, including high-level; continue to support each other at multilateral forums and international organizations, especially at the United Nations, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), etc.

For his part, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his pleasure in visiting Vietnam for the first time; affirmed that Kazakhstan considers Vietnam an important partner in the Asia- Pacific region , and wishes to further promote the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Vietnam, especially in economics, trade and investment on the basis of common values and interests.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the two countries' effective implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in recent times, and affirmed that the two sides still have much room and potential to complement each other for mutual development.
The Prime Minister suggested that Kazakhstan continue to facilitate Vietnam’s key products such as agricultural products, seafood, textiles, and wooden products to access the Kazakhstan market; at the same time, the two sides coordinate and promote amendments to the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the EAEU to further facilitate bilateral trade and investment.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev affirmed that he will direct the Government of Kazakhstan to focus on promoting cooperation in the areas mentioned by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, focusing on cooperation in potential areas such as transportation, logistics, culture, tourism, finance, digital transformation, etc.; and hopes to work with Vietnam to further promote the role of the Vietnam-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Committee on economic-trade and scientific-technical cooperation as well as coordinate the implementation of specific cooperation projects between the two countries.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his hope that the signing of a bilateral visa exemption agreement for ordinary passport holders and a memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation on the occasion of the visit will open up more opportunities for people-to-people exchanges, promote tourism cooperation and trade between the two countries.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked the State and government of Kazakhstan for their attention and support for Vietnamese citizens to live, work and study stably in Kazakhstan, and proposed to continue creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest and do business here.
