In response to information circulating on social media about Vietnamese fans setting off fireworks to disturb the Indonesian team, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has officially spoken out, along with confirmation from the Indonesian team.
Accordingly, VFF affirmed that the image of fireworks posted by an account online caused a misunderstanding, because the location of the fireworks was determined to be about 3km from the Indonesian team's training ground and was not related to the event of the Indonesian team coming to Vietnam to compete on March 26. That is a place for entertainment and fireworks activities are also regularly organized.
Mr. Naufal Laudza - media officer of the Indonesian team said that although a bit tired due to the competition and travel from Jakarta to Hanoi , the whole team was very happy because they were warmly welcomed and had their security and safety ensured.
Regarding the information that Vietnamese fans set off fireworks next to the hotel where the Indonesian team is staying to harass the visiting team, Mr. Naufal Laudza affirmed: “Everything is going very well. We feel very good when staying at the hotel. I also did not hear any noise.”
In preparation for the second leg match between Vietnam and Indonesia at My Dinh Stadium, the match organizers have promptly deployed coordination plans to ensure security and safety before, during and after the match, such as: protecting the airport when the delegations arrive, their accommodation, training and competition venues; arranging traffic plans according to regulations for the delegations.
Regarding this match, on March 19, representatives of VFF and related units had a meeting around the plan to ensure security and safety for the match. The parties discussed and agreed on coordination plans to ensure security and safety before, during and after the match; protect the airport when the delegations arrive, the accommodation, training and competition venues; arrange traffic plans according to regulations for the delegations.
