The predecessor of the Military Farm, established in 1958, through many name changes, Vinatea Moc Chau still maintains the tradition of being the main tea production unit and the earliest established in Son La. Integration and development, the unit has been making steady progress, with many tea products, affirming the brand, competitiveness in the domestic and international markets.

Vinatea Moc Chau currently has over 550 hectares of raw tea, with an annual output of over 10,000 tons of fresh tea buds, producing 2,300 tons of finished tea. Mr. Le Chi Long, Director of Vinatea Moc Chau, informed: With the desire that tea products under the Vinatea Moc Chau brand become the pride of the Vietnamese tea industry. Vinatea Moc Chau has restructured production towards increasing added value and sustainable development. The company has concretized the policy of building concentrated commodity production areas associated with processing and consumption of products through contracts, developing cooperation and linkage in production and consumption of agricultural products, building raw material areas associated with processing and consumption for all 1,952 tea growing households.
Over the years, the Company has implemented a tea production model according to the value chain. All stages from planting, caring, harvesting to collecting, processing and distributing for consumption are controlled by contract, in order to create products that are safe for consumers' health, with traceable origin. 100% of Vinatea Moc Chau's tea garden area has been certified with sustainable agriculture standards (Rainforest Alliance - RA). Currently, all tea growers participate in the tea production chain with the Company; 100% of the area uses land preparation machines; tea is harvested by machine; the entire growing area applies integrated pest management (IPM) measures on crops; 100% of fresh tea buds are transported by motor vehicles to the factory; the main road system to the production area and the internal roads are being hardened...

Ms. Hoang Thi Mien, Team Leader of Production Team 69, Vinatea Moc Chau, shared: Growing tea now is very different from the past. During the production process, we regularly inform the members of the production team about the regulations, procedures and technical requirements of all stages of work related to investment, tea garden care... The products produced ensure food hygiene and safety, meeting the requirements of domestic and foreign customers.
With the efforts of Vinatea Moc Chau and tea growers, on February 15, 2022, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision to recognize the Vinatea Moc Chau high-tech tea growing area with a total area of more than 329 hectares of tea of 1,179 tea-growing households in Moc Chau Farm town in association with Vinatea Moc Chau. From clean raw materials, with the goal of meeting increasingly stringent requirements as well as for the health of consumers, improving competitiveness in the market, focusing on producing tea products according to the criteria of "clean - delicious - healthy" with many diverse products such as: Van Son Oolong Tea, Century Snow Tea and Pouchung products for export to demanding markets such as Taiwan.

Along with developing the tea brand, Vinatea Moc Chau has deployed the development of eco -tourism , associated with Moc Chau Tea Village; building kiosks to introduce products so that visitors can directly enjoy the taste of tea and experience and admire the scenery at the tea village. Moc Chau Tea Village has become a destination chosen by many visitors when coming to Moc Chau plateau. Standing on the top of a high hill, looking down, the hills are covered with waves of tea; feel the fresh green beauty, along with the rich aroma of tea that is unique to Moc Chau.
In particular, in 2023, Vinatea Moc Chau was granted the investment policy decision by Son La province for the Moc Chau Tea Processing Factory Project - Vietnam Tea Corporation, with a scale of 2.5 hectares, a capacity of 125 tons of fresh tea/day, and a total registered capital of 85 billion VND. Mr. Le Chi Long, Director of Vinatea Moc Chau, added: With the goal of improving economic efficiency and the brand of high-tech tea raw material areas; further improving product quality, the goal of bringing products to high-value markets such as Japan, EU... The company invested in building a new factory with modern technology, fuel economy, and a closed chain, contributing to enhancing the brand value of Moc Chau Tea, improving the lives of workers and tea farmers.

With the identified orientations as important driving forces for Vinatea to promote tea production and processing, create high quality products for the health of consumers, and continuously bring Vinatea's Moc Chau tea brand to many markets around the world.
