Tourists come to visit and worship at the Le Van Duyet Tomb Cultural Historical Relic

The death anniversary of General Le Van Duyet takes place over 3 days from September 2-4 (lunar calendar is July 30, August 1 and August 2) at the National Historical and Cultural Site of Le Van Duyet Mausoleum (No. 1 Vu Tung Street, Binh Thanh District).

The memorial service was held to commemorate the Duke when he was the Governor of Gia Dinh citadel, he clearly showed himself to be a fair, honest, upright mandarin, always caring for the lives of the people. The memorial service was performed according to the rituals of the Nguyen Dynasty's small royal court. The rituals were held in the royal style reserved for founding fathers.

On the first day of the death anniversary, there will be activities such as offering betel and wine, giving gifts, building a court ceremony, performing a grand opera, and singing a traditional opera. On the main death anniversary on the 1st day of the 8th lunar month, there will be activities to worship the deceased according to the ritual of the Nguyen Dynasty's small royal court. The last day is to worship the royal family and welcome the people. On this occasion, many delegations from localities also come to the Tomb of the Left General Le Van Duyet to pay their respects.

Also on this occasion, visitors to Le Van Duyet Mausoleum will enjoy the art of Hat Boi with plays performed by artists from the Ho Chi Minh City Hat Boi Art Theater.

The "Xay Chau - Dai Boi" ceremony is a ritual with strong traditional values ​​in the temples of the Southern region. The Dai Boi ceremony follows the path of heaven and includes 5 main ceremonies: Diem Huong, Xang Nhat Nguyet; Tam Tai; Tu Thien Vuong; Dang Cai (Five Elements) and 1 secondary ceremony of Gia Quan Tan Tiec.

Hat Boi is a traditional Vietnamese folk art form, especially popular during festivals. Hat Boi not only brings a joyful atmosphere but also conveys profound cultural values.

Hat Boi performances often attract large crowds, creating opportunities for people to gather, exchange and share joy. The play Le Cong Ky An revolves around the historical figure of Ta Quan Le Van Duyet, a talented and virtuous general of the Nguyen Dynasty. The play clearly depicts the image of an honest mandarin, devoted to the people and the country, daring to confront the powerful to protect justice.

On September 3, the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House continues to perform the plays Ngu Sac Chau (10am); San Hau I, II, III (2pm); and Le Ton Vuong - Hoi Chau (7pm).
