Public opinion, cadres, party members and the people have wondered why we have fought corruption and negativity so fiercely, and severely punished many cadres and party members who have violated the law, but there are still a number of serious and complicated corruption and negativity cases and incidents involving many cadres at both the central and local levels. Why do a number of cadres and party members, especially leaders and managers at all levels, work half-heartedly, push things around, avoid doing things, and are afraid of making mistakes?

Speaking about this, from the conference reviewing one year of operation of the Provincial Steering Committee on anti-corruption and negativity, the General Secretary requested to focus on leadership and direction to detect early, promptly and strictly handle corruption and negativity cases and incidents; must prevent and combat corruption and negativity, practice integrity right in the anti-corruption and negativity agencies. The General Secretary emphasized that if anyone has a moderate mindset, avoids and is afraid of making mistakes, then they should quickly stand aside and let others do it.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once affirmed: "A Party that conceals its shortcomings is a corrupt Party. A Party that has the courage to admit its shortcomings, clearly point out those shortcomings, clearly examine the circumstances that gave rise to those shortcomings, and then seek every way to correct those shortcomings. That is a progressive, bold, steadfast, and genuine Party."

The current fight against corruption and negativity, resolutely, strictly, and without forbidden areas, is a demonstration of our Party's progress, boldness, certainty, and integrity.
