Tien Giang "won big" at the 38th Mekong Delta Art Photography Festival

(ABO) On the morning of October 9, at the National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park (Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province), the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (NSNA) in coordination with the Kien Giang Provincial Literature and Arts Association organized the award ceremony of the 38th Mekong Delta Art Photography Festival in 2023.

After more than 5 months of launching, this year's Festival hosted by Kien Giang province has received over 2,062 color and black and white photos from 314 authors in 13 provinces of the Mekong Delta region with the following themes: Landscape, portrait, daily life, still life... showing the beauty of nature, country, people of the Mekong Delta region; reflecting the achievements of economy , science - technology, social security, security - defense, enhancing international exchange and integration; typical advanced examples, "Studying and following the ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh".

Through online selection rounds, the Jury selected 178 outstanding works from 107 authors for the exhibition and award rounds.

At the live public judging session on October 8, the Jury will select prizes for two categories: color and black and white photos.

Each category awards 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals, 3 Bronze Medals and 4 Encouragement Prizes.

Tien Giang Photography Association won 3 awards in the black and white photography category including: 1 Gold Medal with the work "Game addiction silently destroys the future" by artist Truong Minh Nhut, 1 Silver Medal with the photo series "The beauty of dance" by artist Cao Lap Duc and 1 Encouragement Award by artist Tran Tuan with the work " The one who stays" . Tien Giang also won the Team Award at the Festival.

Previously, on October 8, the Festival Organizing Committee launched the Marathon Photo Contest about Kien Giang. The quick composition contest only took place on October 8 in Kien Giang province with the prize structure including: 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes, 4 Encouragement prizes. Author Tran Hien of Tien Giang Photography Association won the Encouragement prize.

It is known that the work "Game addiction silently destroys the future" by artist Truong Minh Nhut also won the Gold Medal at the 48th Ho Chi Minh City Art Photography Festival in 2023 with the theme "Similarity - Contrast".
