45-year-old PhD becomes Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities

Today (June 3), the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University signed a decision to appoint Associate Professor, Dr. Luu Van Quyet, Head of the History Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, to hold the position of Vice Rector of this university.

Associate Professor, Dr. Luu Van Quyet, 45 years old, from Nam Dinh . He graduated with a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University) in 2004 and received a master's degree in Vietnamese history from the school in 2007. In 2015, Mr. Quyet received a doctorate in history from Beijing Normal University (China). In 2022, he was appointed to the title of Associate Professor in History.

Since 2004, Associate Professor, Dr. Luu Van Quyet has been working at the Department of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City. He has held management positions such as: Deputy Head of the Department of History (2015-2018), Head of the Department of History (2018 to present); Deputy Director of the Center for National Strategy and Policy Studies (2017-2023).

Currently, the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City includes: Professor Ngo Thi Phuong Lan as Principal; 3 Vice Principals: Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh, Dr. Le Hoang Dung and Associate Professor Luu Van Quyet. Previously, at the end of April, Dr. Pham Tan Ha resigned from the position of Vice Principal of the school due to his age limit.
