Among the 18 majors/occupations that Cao Thang Technical College (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) is recruiting this year, the automotive engineering technology major has the highest standard score of 30.5 points (math doubled), the converted score is 22.88 points (on a 30-point scale).
Coming in second place is the auto maintenance and repair industry with 26.5 points, the converted score is 19.88 points; a 4-point gap from the leading industry.
For many years, the automotive engineering industry has led the benchmark scores of Cao Thang Technical College.
The majors with the lowest standard score (20 points) include: computer accounting, welding, industrial electricity, industrial electronics, computer network administration, and computer repair and assembly engineering.
This benchmark score shows that for many years, majors related to automotive engineering still have a certain position, attract candidates and have high job opportunities in the labor market.
Dr. Le Dinh Kha, Principal of Cao Thang Technical College, said that this year, the school will recruit 4,500 students for 18 majors with 4 methods: direct admission, review of academic records, review of high school graduation exam results and review of the results of the capacity assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Of which, the total number of applications for admission based on academic records is more than 6,000 candidates, but the quota is only 2,700 candidates.
"Based on the enrollment situation in 2025, the school will continue to accept applications for admission based on high school transcripts (until the quota is full) for all majors and occupations. Candidates with a total high school transcript admission score (Semester 1, Semester 2, grade 11; Semester 1, Semester 2, grade 12) that is equal to or higher than the admission score of the major or occupation can be considered for admission" - Dr. Kha said.
