In Tien Yen district, there are 17 ethnic groups living together, with more than 28,000 ethnic minority people (accounting for 52.14% of the district's population). In recent years, Party committees at all levels in the district have always identified and promptly implemented solutions to combat erroneous, hostile views and bad information, in order to protect the Party's ideological foundation, stabilize political security and social order and safety, especially in ethnic minority areas.
Implementing the direction of superiors, Steering Committee 35 of Tien Yen district is regularly strengthened and strengthened. grasp public opinion, especially on social networks, thereby promptly advising and proposing to handle incidents occurring in the area, not allowing them to become "hot spots" or complicated at the grassroots level. At the same time, actively direct relevant agencies, units and localities to handle distorted and untrue information on social networks, in order to stabilize the situation and not create panic among the people, especially in ethnic minority areas. Currently, 100% of communes and towns in the district have established grassroots Steering Committee 35, or a group of collaborators with 20-30 members.
The District Steering Committee 35 has always been interested in directing the establishment and development of a propaganda network through social networking platforms such as Zalo, Facebook, YouTube, Fanpage, etc. Up to now, the whole district has 157 propaganda pages on social networks (8 fanpages of the district; 55 fanpages of communes and towns; 18 fanpages of branches and Party committees of agencies; 76 propaganda addresses of 76 villages and neighborhoods). This is an information channel for sharing and spreading official information on social networks that is regularly followed by local people.
In order to enhance access to information for ethnic minorities, Tien Yen district has developed and issued Project No. 02-DA/HU on improving the quality and effectiveness of dissemination, study and propaganda of Party directives and resolutions in Tien Yen district, period 2022-2025. Thereby, creating strong innovation, diversifying the forms of propaganda of directives, resolutions, conclusions, regulations... of the Central, the province and the district on social networking sites.
For each directive and resolution, the district develops 5 propaganda products, including: Propaganda and dissemination documents for reporters and propagandists; propaganda articles; propaganda videos ; propaganda infographics; propaganda audio files (MP3). In ethnic minority areas, the district compiles propaganda content in ethnic languages, using motorbikes carrying loudspeakers to residential areas to propagate so that people can listen and understand the content. Compiling content in ethnic languages helps to convey messages in an easy-to-understand and familiar way, improving propaganda effectiveness.
To effectively organize propaganda activities, fight against wrong, hostile viewpoints, and toxic information, Tien Yen district has paid attention to building a team of grassroots propagandists, focusing on village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people in the community. The whole district currently has 86 prestigious people among ethnic minorities, they are the "bridge" between the Party, the government and the people in ethnic minority areas; actively and exemplary in propagating, implementing and mobilizing people to respond to the policies, laws of the Party and the State; preserving and promoting traditional cultural values; preventing plots to sabotage the country by hostile forces, actively contributing to building the great national unity bloc.
Mr. Hoang Van Dai (Tay ethnic group, a prestigious person in Hua Cau village, Phong Du commune, Tien Yen district) shared: Hua Cau village has 100% ethnic minorities. Understanding the responsibility and role of a prestigious person in the community, I always make efforts with the village cadres to propagate and strengthen the solidarity relationship between the people; actively research and apply the customs and practices of ethnic groups, participate in building village conventions and regulations to convince people whenever there are disputes and conflicts. From 2020 to now, I have successfully participated in the mediation of 5 conflicts among the people, not allowing complaints to go beyond the level, not allowing internal solidarity between individuals and households. Everyone in the village is always close and united.
Standing Deputy Secretary of Tien Yen District Party Committee Hoang Manh Hung emphasized: Tien Yen District will continue to innovate propaganda content, ensuring to provide full and timely information to the people, especially ethnic minorities, to clearly understand the plots and tricks of distortion, sabotage and incitement of hostile forces, helping people to raise their vigilance, absolutely "not listen, not believe, not follow" reactionary subjects and hostile forces to oppose the local government, causing political insecurity in the area. At the same time, pay attention to recruiting outstanding ethnic minorities into the Party, contributing to building a core force to effectively support the activities of villages and areas.
The active participation of the entire political system, the proactiveness and flexibility of Party committees at all levels continue to contribute to enhancing "resistance" against plots to sabotage and distort the Party, firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and building and developing Tien Yen district to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
