Receiving and rescuing fishermen in distress at sea

Accordingly, at 4:50 p.m. on April 22, 2025, we received news that Mr. Pham Ngoc Tan (born in 1963, in Quang Chau commune, Quang Trach), a crew member on fishing boat QB 33259-TS, fell into the sea while fishing, about 7 nautical miles northeast of Roon estuary.

When rescued by the crew, Mr. Tan showed signs of chest pain, difficulty breathing, and coughing up blood... Roon Border Guard Station requested Roon Border Control Station to maintain contact with ship QB 33259-TS, and at the same time send medical personnel ready to perform first aid measures when the victim reached shore.

Forces of Roon Border Control Station assisted in bringing the distressed fishermen ashore.

At 5:20 p.m. the same day, ship QB 33259-TS entered the channel, Roon Border Control Station organized the reception, the unit's medical staff checked, gave first aid to the victim and handed him over to his family to transfer to Bac Quang Binh General Hospital for treatment.

It is known that the fishing boat QB-33259-TS has a capacity of 40CV, including 3 crew members, captained by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quyen (born in 1972, in Canh Duong commune, Quang Trach). The boat left Roon port to go fishing on April 16, 2025.
