Supporting the development of rural industrial establishments

With dozens of projects receiving annual funding support, industrial promotion activities have affirmed their role as a "midwife" and companion to help rural industrial production establishments expand their scale, improve product quality, and brand value of establishments and enterprises.

As the owner of a facility manufacturing xingfa aluminum door products, Mr. Van Dinh Dung, in Quarter 4, Ward 3, Quang Tri town, determined to synchronize automatic machines and invest in upgrading advanced machinery and equipment to improve productivity and product quality.

In the context of limited financial resources, with financial support from the Quang Tri town industrial promotion program with the amount of 35 million VND, along with the family's savings, Mr. Dung realized the investment goal, purchasing a high-end CNC aluminum cutting system, helping to automate the production process, creating highly sophisticated aluminum products.

According to Mr. Dung, the industrial promotion capital has provided timely support for production and business establishments to invest in technological innovation and advanced machinery. Local authorities and functional units have also been active in supporting businesses and people to complete documents and develop projects to easily access this source of funding.

After investing in upgrading technology, Mr. Dung's aluminum door manufacturing facility has produced many xingfa aluminum door products with quality, beautiful designs, competitive prices, and are favored by customers.

Also one of the enterprises receiving 25 million VND from the Vinh Linh district industrial promotion program, Hoang Gia Cua Tung bottled water production facility in Hoa Ly Hai quarter, Cua Tung town has applied modern machinery and equipment to produce bottled water under the Sakura brand to supply and serve the needs of people in the area and neighboring areas.

According to the project acceptance results, after investing in applying modern technology to the production process, the product productivity is 1-1.5 times higher than before, on average the facility has produced 300-350 water bottles per day.

In 2023, the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting will coordinate with relevant units to inspect, evaluate and guide units that fully meet the criteria to prepare provincial industrial promotion project dossiers to submit to the Appraisal Council of the Department of Industry and Trade for consideration before submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of support. As a result, the Provincial People's Committee has approved 22 project lists and funding for provincial industrial promotion in 2023 with a total support budget of over 2.7 billion VND.

Through the program to support industrial promotion projects, businesses and establishments have been exposed to new management methods and technologies to create increasingly high-quality products, meet market demands, reduce environmental pollution, create jobs, and increase income for workers. At the same time, attract a large amount of counterpart capital from businesses and establishments to invest in equipment for production.

In 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade approved support for 2 national industrial promotion projects for 3 beneficiaries in the field of manufacturing medicinal products and wooden furniture in the province with a total budget of 900 million VND.

District-level industrial promotion activities have also supported 47 projects and tasks in 2023 with a total budget of over 1.7 billion VND, focusing on restoring and developing craft villages and rural industries; supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment in production and processing; building brands and trademarks; organizing and participating in fairs in the province; starting businesses..., contributing to promoting the development of industry, handicrafts, rural industries and craft villages.

According to Director of the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting Nguyen Truong Hoan, industrial promotion activities are affirming their important role in motivating and encouraging economic sectors to participate in investing in rural industrial development, contributing to shifting the economic structure and labor structure in rural areas towards industrialization and modernization.

“Thanks to bold investment, production expansion and the support and encouragement of industrial promotion programs at all levels, the productivity and quality of rural industrial products in the province are increasingly improved, the consumption market is expanded, increasing competitiveness in the market, contributing to creating jobs and income for workers and increasing the value of local industrial production,” Mr. Hoan emphasized.

In the coming time, the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting will continue to effectively implement the Provincial Industrial Promotion Program for the period 2021-2025; focus on reviewing and proposing models and projects for 2024 to ensure effectiveness, suitability, and high spread.

On the other hand, it will strengthen market connection activities for enterprises and rural industrial establishments of the province through fairs and conferences connecting domestic supply and demand; integrate capital sources to promote activities and seek methods to expand the market in line with current trends.

Along with that, support rural industrial establishments to build technical demonstration models, innovate, apply advanced machinery and equipment and transfer technology into production activities to improve product quality, save raw materials and minimize environmental pollution.
