Continue to mobilize resources to support flood recovery in Thai Nguyen

On October 11, comrade Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the working delegation came to encourage and grasp the situation of overcoming the consequences of the recent historic flood in Thai Nguyen province. Receiving the delegation was comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

The working group inspected the flood damage recovery in Gia Sang ward - one of the localities that suffered heavy damage in the recent flood.

The entire ward has 6,300 households whose houses are flooded above the first floor. As of the morning of October 11, over 2,100 houses are still in a state of not being completely drained. The entire rice and vegetable area in the area is flooded.
Many schools, agencies and units were flooded and had damaged equipment.
As soon as the water began to recede, the ward mobilized local human resources, combined with other forces to participate in cleaning and general sanitation, trying their best to bring basic activities back early next week.

Comrade Ha Thi Nga also visited, encouraged and presented gifts to 15 families most severely affected by the recent flood. Sharing and encouraging the families to overcome difficulties, she requested the local authorities to pay attention and provide both material and spiritual support so that the affected families can soon stabilize their lives.

The working group gave gifts to the most heavily affected families in Gia Sang ward.

Reporting to the working delegation, comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, provided preliminary information that up to this point, the recorded damage in the whole province is about 4,000 billion VND; this number will increase because there are still many damages in the population that have not been counted.

During the flood days, Thai Nguyen province has focused on implementing urgent solutions to support the people. The province has always received sharing, encouragement, and help both materially and spiritually through many different channels.

He hoped that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee would continue to mobilize support and resources to allocate to Thai Nguyen province for post-flood reconstruction work.

Appreciating the efforts of the Party Committee and government of Thai Nguyen province in recent days, the Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that after the storm, the province still has a lot of work to do to quickly stabilize people's lives and operate the government apparatus.

He requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations to promote their role in solidarity and rally the strength of the entire people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; and continue to use the Relief Fund for the right purposes and for the right subjects.

The information obtained through the working session in Thai Nguyen will be synthesized by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and reported to the Party and State leaders for support mechanisms and policies.

Participating in the program of the Working Group, Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation committed to accompany Thai Nguyen province in supporting people, schools and medical stations that suffered damage.
