In the 9 major orientations discussed frankly, democratically and unanimously, the Central Committee requested to remove institutional bottlenecks within the Central Committee's authority, focus on the fields of land-investment-construction-environment-energy; improve the corporate bond and real estate markets, strengthen market discipline and confidence; encourage public-private partnerships, innovate technology, unleash social resources, strengthen the leading role of the state economy , and promote the role of the private economy in national development.

With the role and function of being the focal point for advising the Party Central Committee, the Politburo , and the Secretariat on important and strategic issues in national development, the Central Policy and Strategy Committee has proactively and quickly carried out a revolution in thinking to meet the requirements of the task. Improving the quality and efficiency of work is a prerequisite, especially advising on planning guidelines, policies, major and important measures for socio-economic development as well as contributing to theory and practice, summarizing experiences, and practically contributing to the drafting of documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Central Policy and Strategy Committee led and directed cadres and party members to research and advise the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat to issue 26 resolutions, conclusions, and directives; researched and drafted 12 in-depth thematic reports to send to the Politburo and the Secretariat; a number of reports to send to the General Secretary and key leaders of the Party for consideration, serving the leadership and direction work; researched, appraised, and commented on more than 200 reports, projects, and documents related to socio-economic issues, national defense and security, foreign affairs, and integration of the country. The contents of the consultation and proposals of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee continued, inherited, and promoted the results and achievements accumulated in previous years and previous terms; At the same time, it increasingly shows innovative thinking, creative spirit, focusing on improving quality, going into depth, having strategic scope, linking major world trends and the country's development requirements in the new period.

According to the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, research and consultation focus on proposing to continue removing bottlenecks, unblocking and promoting economic resources; solutions to adapt to fluctuations in the world and regional situation, especially fluctuations of the US dollar in the new context; real estate market management and housing price regulation; orientation of digital currency management; management of the domestic gold market; orientation and strategic solutions for energy development, especially clean energy sources and new energy; development of platform industries... Recently (September 15, 2025), the Committee completed and submitted to the Politburo for consideration a project on strategic solutions to promote rapid and sustainable economic growth associated with establishing a new growth model in the new development era of the country in order to successfully implement the country's development goals by 2030 and 2045.

The results of theoretical research and practical summaries have made practical contributions to the content of the report summarizing a number of theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented renovation process over the past 40 years in Vietnam; developing documents and reports within the framework of the Document Subcommittee, the Socio-Economic Subcommittee and other subcommittees serving the 14th National Party Congress. According to the leader of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, the new context is intertwined with advantages, opportunities and difficulties and challenges; the requirements for national development require no delay, while at the same time promoting a high sense of responsibility and creativity in each agency, unit, cadre and party member to quickly take advantage of opportunities, turning difficulties and challenges into driving forces for innovation and development.

Implementing the direction of the Central Committee and the General Secretary, the Committee continues to focus on researching, clarifying and discussing more deeply a number of theoretical and practical issues over 40 years of national renovation to create a solid foundation, raising the level of strategic advice on socio-economic development; focusing on perfecting the socialist-oriented market economic institution; economic development is the central task; on continuing to carry out economic renovation in a stronger, more drastic, revolutionary and comprehensive manner; advising on closely and reasonably combining economic development with cultural and social development, realizing social progress and equity; developing new productive forces together with perfecting production relations, creating new opportunities and spaces for development.
