"The Border Lesson"

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), the La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with A Ngo Primary and Secondary School in Dakrong district, recently organized the "Borderland Lesson" program for 35 teachers and students in the border area.

Officers and soldiers of the La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station, along with teachers and students, cleaned the area around Border Marker 635.

In this program, teachers and students of A Ngo Primary and Secondary School, along with officers and soldiers of the La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station, cleaned the area and Border Marker 635; performed the flag-raising ceremony at the Sovereignty Marker; students and teachers also received information from officers of the La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations on the management and protection of national territorial sovereignty and border security; the history and traditions of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day; the traditions of the Vietnam Border Guard, the Quang Tri Border Guard, as well as the traditions of the La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station; the history of the formation of the national border; the position and significance of the border system and border markers; and the importance of managing and protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security. Visit the grounds, the Ho Chi Minh Room, the traditional room, and the unit's agricultural production garden; participate in and experience arranging blankets and mosquito nets in the army.

Through this program, teachers and students also learned more about the life, activities, studies, work, training, and border patrol operations of the Border Guard Force in general and the La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station in particular.

Through the "Borderland Lessons" program, we contribute to promoting and fostering love for our homeland, national pride and self-respect; disseminating and educating on border laws; the traditions of the Army, Border Guard, and National Defense Day. This enhances the awareness, understanding, and responsibility of teachers and students regarding the construction, management, and protection of the sacred national sovereignty and border security of our country.
