Coming to Moc Hoa Electricity, the union members and youths coordinated with Kien Tuong Town Union and Vo Van Kiet Secondary School in Binh Tan Commune to organize a session to propagate electricity saving for students, including activities such as propaganda about forms of electricity use in the family, how to recognize electricity-saving devices, time and how to use them to ensure savings, safety and efficiency; propaganda about dangerous images of electrical accidents in games such as kite flying, fireworks, fishing; organizing answers to questions about electricity knowledge in the form of multiple choice tests; at the same time, giving 625 notebooks to students with the desire to contribute a small part to help them achieve their dreams of going to school.

At the same time, Ben Luc Electricity cooperated with Thuan Dao Primary School (Ben Luc town) and Binh Chanh Primary School (Nhat Chanh commune) to organize a propaganda session with more than 1,700 students and teachers attending.

Here, the members also disseminated information on how to use electricity economically, safely and effectively, such as limiting the opening of refrigerators, using energy-saving light bulbs, turning off lights when ensuring lighting, and choosing energy-saving devices. In addition, questions in the form of multiple-choice questions on the most economical use of electrical equipment in the home and school were also included, to help children recognize how to save electricity, reduce costs, and how to handle situations when there are problems with electricity use in the home.

At the same time, this program also presented more than 1,000 notebooks to disadvantaged but studious students to help encourage them to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.

Continuing the journey to Tan Thanh Power Company, at Tan Thanh Town Primary School with more than 400 staff, teachers and students of the school. As at other Power Companies, the members also disseminated and introduced general knowledge, provided practical solutions for saving electricity; provided detailed instructions on the use of electrical equipment; distributed electrical safety manuals; safety measures, prevention of electrical accidents; organized direct answers to questions related to knowledge about safety and saving electricity.

In particular, here, Long An Electricity Company presented 70 gifts to disadvantaged, disabled and orphaned students with a total value of 15,000,000 VND.

Introduce students to general knowledge and provide practical solutions to save electricity.

Principal of Tan Thanh Town Primary School - Truong Thi Kim Duong said: "The coordination between the Electricity and the school in the work of propagating electricity saving is very meaningful, contributing to the school's propaganda to students about effective, simple and safe electricity saving solutions. Thereby,educating students' awareness right from when they are still in school".

Meaning of “journey”

The Prime Minister has issued Directive No. 20/CT-TTg on enhancing electricity saving in the period of 2023 - 2025 and the following years. Accordingly, the Prime Minister requires that in the period of 2023 - 2025 and the following years, the whole country must strive to save at least 2.0% of total electricity consumption annually, reducing electricity loss in the entire power system to below 6% by 2025.

Promoting the awareness of saving electricity for students means contributing to the formation of a young generation with a civilized lifestyle and awareness of saving energy. From simple electricity saving measures in each classroom to calling for specific actions. Each individual, each small action, can contribute to building a better living environment.

According to the report, as of May 15, 2024, Long An Electricity Company has saved an accumulated 70.57 million kWh of electricity in 2024, equivalent to more than 120 billion VND./.
