Training on developing a communication plan on climate change

DTO - Recently, at Tram Chim National Park (Tam Nong district), the Center for Environment and Community Resources Development (CECAD) under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations coordinated with Tram Chim National Park to organize a training program to develop a communication plan on climate change adaptation in the Mekong Delta. The program is for Youth Union officials from the provinces of Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, Dong Thap and Tram Chim National Park officials.

Here, the students were consulted by experts to clarify the concept of climate change, equipped with basic knowledge about 3 groups of response measures: mitigation, adaptation, loss and damage, and levels of communication. At the same time, they shared information about impacts and communication plans of Tram Chim National Park on climate change...

Through the training program to improve communication capacity for Youth Unions of provinces in the Mekong Delta region, helping youth and communities to be more proactive in responding to drought, saltwater intrusion and climate change in the locality.
