Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training divides 16 school clusters to manage educational activities.

GD&TĐ - The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City divided the scale of the city's education sector in 168 communes, wards, and special zones into 16 clusters for professional management after the merger.

The clusters include schools from kindergarten to high school, vocational education and continuing education in 168 commune-level administrative units (including 113 wards, 54 communes, and 1 special zone).

16 management clusters are divided into commune-level administrative units as follows:

Cluster 1 includes the following units: Cu Chi, Tan An Hoi, Thai My, An Nhon Tay, Nhuan Duc, Phu Hoa Dong, Binh My (old Cu Chi district); Hoc Mon, Xuan Thoi Son, Dong Thanh (old Hoc Mon district).

Cluster 2 includes the following units: Ba Diem (old Hoc Mon district); Dong Hung Thuan, Trung My Tay, Tan Thoi Hiep, Thoi An, An Phu Dong (old District 12).

Cluster 3 includes the following units: Tay Thanh, Tan Son Nhi, Phu Tho Hoa, Tan Phu, Phu Thanh (old Tan Phu district); Tan Son Hoa, Tan Son Nhat, Tan Hoa, Bay Hien, Tan Binh, Tan Son (old Tan Binh district).

Cluster 4 includes the following units: Hanh Thong, An Nhon, Go Vap, An Hoi Dong, Thong Tay Hoi, An Hoi Tay (old Go Vap district); Duc Nhuan, Cau Kieu, Phu Nhuan, Binh Loi Trung wards (old Binh Thanh district).

Cluster 5 includes the following units: Binh Thanh, Gia Dinh, Thanh My Tay, Binh Quoi (old Binh Thanh District); Saigon, Tan Dinh, Ben Thanh, Cau Ong Lanh (old District 1); Ban Co, Xuan Hoa, Nhieu Loc (old District 3); Khanh Hoi Ward (old District 4).

Cluster 6 includes the following units: Cho Quan, An Dong, Cho Lon (old District 5); Dien Hong, Vuon Lai, Hoa Hung (old District 10); Binh Thoi, Hoa Binh , Phu Tho, Minh Phung (old District 11); Binh Tay, Binh Tien (old District 6).

Cluster 7 includes the following units: Binh Phu and Phu Lam (old District 6); An Lac, Tan Tao, Binh Tan, Binh Tri Dong, Binh Hung Hoa (old Binh Tan District).

Cluster 8 includes the following units: Xom Chieu, Vinh Hoi (old District 4); Tan Thuan, Phu Thuan, Tan My, Tan Hung (old District 7); Phu Dinh, Chanh Hung, Binh Dong (old District 8).

Cluster 9 includes the following units: Di An, Dong Hoa, Tan Dong Hiep (former Di An City, Binh Duong ); Hiep Binh, Tam Binh, Linh Xuan (former Thu Duc City).

Cluster 10 includes the following units: Thu Duc, Tang Nhon Phu, Long Binh, Long Phuoc, Long Truong, Cat Lai, Binh Trung, Phuoc Long, An Khanh (old Thu Duc City).

Cluster 11 includes the following units: Vinh Loc, Tan Vinh Loc, Binh Loi, Tan Nhut, Binh Chanh, Hung Long, Binh Hung (old Binh Chanh district); Binh Khanh, An Thoi Dong, Can Gio, Thanh An (old Can Gio district); Nha Be, Hiep Phuoc (old Nha Be district).

Cluster 12 includes the following units: Thu Dau Mot, Phu Loi, Chanh Hiep, Binh Duong (former Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong); An Phu, Binh Hoa, Lai Thieu, Thuan An, Thuan Giao (former Thuan An City, Binh Duong).

Cluster 13 includes the following units: Vinh Tan, Binh Co, Tan Uyen, Tan Hiep, Tan Khanh (Tan Uyen City, old Binh Duong); Thuong Tan, Bac Tan Uyen (Bac Tan Uyen District, old Binh Duong); Phu Giao, Phuoc Hoa, Phuoc Thanh, An Long (Phu Giao District, old Binh Duong).

Cluster 14 includes the following units: Hoa Loi, Thoi Hoa, Phu An, Tay Nam, Long Nguyen, Ben Cat, Chanh Phu Hoa (Ben Cat City, old Binh Duong Province); Tru Van Tho, Bau Bang (Bau Bang District, old Binh Duong); Long Hoa, Thanh An, Dau Tieng, Minh Thanh (Dau Tieng District, old Binh Duong).

Cluster 15 includes the following units: Vung Tau, Tam Thang, Rach Dua, Phuoc Thang (Vung Tau City, old Ba Ria - Vung Tau); Long Huong, Ba Ria, Tam Long (Ba Ria City, old Ba Ria - Vung Tau); Chau Pha, Tan Hai, Tan Phuoc, Phu My, Tan Thanh (Phu My City, old Ba Ria - Vung Tau).

Cluster 16 includes the following units: Long Hai, Long Dien, Phuoc Hai, Dat Do (former Long Dat district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau); Nghia Thanh, Ngai Giao, Kim Long, Chau Duc, Binh Gia, Xuan Son (former Chau Duc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau); Ho Tram, Xuyen Moc, Binh Chau, Hoa Hoi, Hoa Hiep, Bau Lam (former Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau) and Con Dao special zone.
