Training on knowledge and skills in propaganda on preventing and combating human trafficking for youth union members

On the morning of July 18, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Youth Union and Children's Affairs Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province to organize a training course on knowledge and skills in propaganda on preventing and combating human trafficking for union officials, union members and young people.

The program aims to provide knowledge to union officials, union members, and youth to raise their sense of responsibility, ability to recognize plots, methods, tricks, and harms of human trafficking crimes. From there, each union official, union member, and youth will proactively and actively participate in preventing, fighting, and denouncing human trafficking crimes; and propagate to relatives, family, and friends about the tricks of human trafficking crimes.

According to the report of the Government 's Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Control, in 2024, there were more than 98 cases of human trafficking nationwide, with more than 234 subjects involved in human trafficking, an increase of more than 21.2% compared to 2023. Therefore, the work of preventing and combating human trafficking is extremely important and urgent, requiring all levels of the Youth Union, especially union members and young people, to join hands to repel it.

Speaking at the program, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Youth Union and Children's Affairs Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province Tran Diep My Dung emphasized that propaganda against human trafficking is a practical and effective activity to raise awareness, consciousness and responsibility of all levels of the Youth Union, members and youth in the area in the work of preventing and combating human trafficking.

With their roles and responsibilities, over the past years, youth union chapters at all levels in the province have organized many propaganda activities to prevent and combat human trafficking for union members and young people.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union hopes that after the program, youth union members and teenagers in the province will improve their knowledge and understanding of crime prevention and control in general and human trafficking prevention and control in particular.

Through that, conveying a meaningful message about the value of a safe and healthy life: "No child is left behind in the fight against human trafficking".
