On the evening of May 17, Kim Thanh District Police (Hai Duong) said that the unit is investigating and verifying information that Ms. BTTG (born in 1987, from Kien Giang ) accused her husband, Mr. TVL (born in 1986), of being abused.
The wounds on Ms. BTTG's body
Previously, a video was circulated on social media recording the scene where Ms. BTTG accused her husband of abusing her during her pregnancy in Quynh Khe 2 village, Kim Xuyen commune (Kim Thanh, Hai Duong ), causing her to have injuries all over her body and having to flee back to her hometown.
This woman informed that she met Mr. TVL in 2020 and the two lived together. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the two families have not met each other and only talked on the phone.
In April 2021, the two registered their marriage in the husband's hometown. They now have a 17-month-old child together and she is 7 months pregnant with her second child.
Ms. BTTG shared that during her time as a daughter-in-law in Kim Thanh district, her husband abused her many times in many different ways, causing injuries and scars all over her face, arms, legs, back...
Ms. BTTG has many scars all over her body.
According to Ms. G, the reason for the abuse was that her husband forced her to call her relatives, friends, and family to borrow money. If she could not borrow money, her husband would beat her.
This woman also shared in the video that after being beaten many times, the local police came to her house to investigate the incident, but she did not dare to speak out because she was afraid that her husband would send someone to her hometown in Kien Giang to threaten her relatives.
On the evening of May 10, Ms. BTTG and her husband took a plane from Cat Bi Airport (Hai Phong) to Ho Chi Minh City with the purpose of borrowing money. Upon arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. G tried to hide from her husband and took a bus back to her hometown.
