On June 5, according to the reporter of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, at many small businesses, food services, or at traditional markets in the city, online payment refusals do occur but are not common.
However, according to some other consumers, some businesses, eateries, restaurants, and retail stores refuse to accept payments by bank transfer, preferring cash.
Director of Keytas Tax Accounting Company, Le Van Tuan, commented that the situation where some stores refuse to accept money transfers and only accept cash from customers, or ask customers to transfer money to many different accounts, without recording the transfer content... is a mistake for taxpayers, because the total revenue will be calculated based on the total of all accounts of that individual.

Many risks from buying and selling service land
People need to be careful when buying hand-over service land to avoid risks and disputes.
Sharing with reporters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Thi N. (Nam Tu Liem District) said that according to regulations, many households in the old Tu Liem District whose agricultural land area was recovered from 30% or more before 2009-2010 are entitled to compensation in the form of service land with an area of 80m2/household. Many households have received the project approval decision, compensation plan and are waiting for the investor and local authorities to complete the infrastructure and then draw lots to hand over the land.
However, during this period, many households rushed to sell service land (land sale without going through official legal procedures) to others by handing over decisions and approved plans.
After 10 years, at the end of May 2025, the People's Committee of Bac Tu Liem District organized an invitation for the owners of the households whose land was recovered to draw lots to hand over the land. At this time, Ms. N. was shocked to discover that Ms. T. had died, and her son had "turned the tables" and refused to accept the sale documents between Ms. T. and Ms. N. on the grounds that the power of attorney expired when Ms. T. died.
Regarding this issue, Lawyer Tran Hoang Vu, Director of AEC Law Firm (Hanoi Bar Association) said that buying and selling through handwritten documents is very risky, especially with service land that is in the stage of not yet handing over the premises.
