Fire to open Quang Noodle Festival 2025

(QNO) - On the morning of June 7, at Dong Khuong craft village (Dien Phuong ward), the kiln group ceremony to open the Quang Noodle Festival - Dien Ban 2025 took place.

The event was attended by Mr. Nong Quoc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), along with representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, leaders of Dien Ban town and many people, artisans, and tourists from near and far.

With the traditional fire lighting ceremony, the delegates gathered to light the noodle stove - a symbol of the beginning, of the culinary quintessence of Quang Nam. The resounding sound of the festival drums, combined with the joyful cheers of the people, seemed to spread the message of a journey to preserve, honor and promote the heritage of Quang noodles entering a new phase.

Mr. Nong Quoc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage said that the recognition of the Folk Knowledge of Quang Noodle Processing as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage not only recognizes the unique cultural values ​​of Quang Nam , but also opens up important opportunities for localities to promote the strengths of indigenous heritage in sustainable tourism development and building regional cultural brands.

Heritage conservation does not stop at registration, but importantly brings heritage back to life in the community, so that culture becomes a resource for development.

The 2025 Quang Noodle Festival will last for 2 days with a series of performances, noodle cooking competitions, craft village spaces, talk shows, seminars and special art programs.

The image of a fire burning continuously at Dong Khuong noodle kiln not only symbolizes the traditional fire, but also represents the continuation of the creative spirit of Quang Nam people in preserving and developing a living heritage amidst the modern flow.
