
Lotus of the countryside
This season, throughout Tam Ky, Thang Binh, Duy Xuyen, Dien Ban... vast lotus ponds are in full bloom. The lotus blooms gently pink on the green water surface, the lotus scent wafts in the early morning breeze, making anyone who visits once feel moved.
In Tam Thang (Tam Ky), the Dam River lotus pond, which covers nearly 200 hectares, is considered the “green lung” of the city. Recently, people have also planted about 5 hectares of lotus to collect seeds and serve experiential tourism . Every early morning, visitors can sit on small boats weaving through the lotus pond, inhaling the scent of the fields and watching the pink lotus flowers under the first rays of the day.
Since mid-May, some locals have taken the opportunity to build bamboo bridges and leaf huts in the middle of the lagoon to serve visitors. While rowing the boat, they tell stories about the village and the lotus season, making the trip even more poetic. "In the middle of the summer sun, sitting on a boat watching the lotus flowers and listening to the wind blowing makes my heart feel light" - a tourist shared.
Going a little further, Tra Ly lotus field (Duy Xuyen) stands out with an area of up to tens of hectares, stretching at the foot of Hon Tau mountain. The lotus here grows among the rice fields, creating a rustic yet attractive countryside picture. Visitors can both admire the lotus and look out into the distance to see the majestic mountain ranges or the peaceful countryside roofs.
No less special, Binh Quy lotus pond (Thang Binh) impresses because it is located next to the North-South railway. Every time the train passes by, the pink lotus scene sways in the wind as if waving to the travelers, creating a very unique highlight that is rarely found anywhere else.

Bright red sycamore trees in the middle of the ocean
July is the time when the red color of the parasol trees blooms all over Cu Lao Cham Island, known as the "summer specialty" of the pearl island. Looking from afar, the mountain slopes seem to be lit up, patches of crimson forest blend with the blue sea and white sand, creating a vivid natural picture.
