Organize the parade program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory solemnly, regularly, safely and economically

Attending the meeting were Major General Tran Dang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Military Training, Ministry of National Defense ; representatives of the Department of Performing Arts; Department of Grassroots Culture; and the Ministry's Office.

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong had a working session with representatives of the Ministry of National Defense on coordinating the implementation of tasks to organize parades and marches in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong said that he thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the direction of the Politburo , the Secretariat, and the Central Steering Committee on organizing the celebration of a number of major holidays and historical events; Instruction No. 135-HD/BTGTW dated January 8, 2024 of the Central Propaganda Department on organizing activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical events in the 3 years 2023-2025, including organizing parades and marches during the Anniversary in Dien Bien province. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes to have close coordination with the Ministry of National Defense in implementing the parade and march program during the Anniversary.

The Deputy Minister stated that the event aimed to affirm the significance, stature and great historical value of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory and the continuous growth of the Vietnam People's Army, Militia and Self-Defense Force and People's Public Security over the past 70 years under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The parade is expected to take place on the morning of May 7, 2024 at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium. The parade will have the participation of artillery, air force, masses, police...

Major General Tran Dang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Military Training Department, said that the Ministry of National Defense has established a Parade and Marching Subcommittee headed by a Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, with a number of comrades from ministries, sectors, and localities participating to implement the Project.

At the same time, develop a plan to organize forces, prepare for combat, ensure uniforms, equipment and organize training for Army and Militia forces participating in parades, and ceremonial artillery forces.

"The Ministry of National Defense will be the focal point for synthesizing and drafting the content of the parade and marching groups' explanations to send to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for comments, and to the Central Propaganda Department for appraisal. I hope the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will have a permanent representative to discuss the Program's script. The Program will be pre-approved on May 3 and rehearsed on May 5" - Major General Tran Dang Thanh said.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong said that the event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory aims to educate patriotism and revolutionary traditions, arouse pride and deep gratitude towards the generations who sacrificed their blood for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland. Continue to strengthen absolute faith in the Party's leadership.

This is also an occasion to demonstrate the strength of the People's Armed Forces, the spirit of national solidarity, and affirm the determination of the entire Party, people and army to successfully carry out the cause of building and firmly defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes for close coordination between the Ministry of National Defense and relevant units to organize a solemn, dignified, regular, secure, safe and economical parade; with a streamlined and modern participating force demonstrating the unity and regularity of the people's armed forces; the cultural identity and aspiration for peace of the nation./.
