Organizing a special art program to celebrate 80 years of the Cultural sector accompanying the nation

VHO - Towards the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued Decision No. 2280/QD-BVHTTDL approving the scenario for organizing a special art program on a grand scale, scheduled to take place on August 23, 2025 in Hanoi.

The performances will recreate the difficult but also heroic historical journeys of the nation, while honoring cultural achievements through the ages.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Department of Performing Arts and the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater to organize the special art program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).

The program is not only an opportunity to honor the contributions of the cultural sector over 80 years of formation and development, but also an opportunity to spread the Party's orientations and viewpoints on building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people in the new era.

With the theme of 80 years of glory and pride - Culture accompanies the nation , the program will be an important highlight in the series of commemorative activities, to affirm the role and eternal values of Vietnamese culture throughout the journey of accompanying the revolutionary cause and the cause of building and developing the country.

The program consists of two main parts : Culture accompanying the nation and 80 years - Imprints of Vietnamese culture , which are elaborately staged, combining many rich art forms, from singing and dancing, choir, contemporary dance, traditional art to gong and quan ho performances.

The performances will recreate the difficult but also heroic historical journeys of the nation, while honoring cultural achievements through the ages.

Many typical works of art will be performed in the program such as: The torch lights the way, Love song, Dien Bien victory, Five-ton song, The country is full of joy, My memories, The distant land, Great solidarity - Vietnam's strength ...

The works focus on emphasizing and affirming the country's cultural achievements; historical significance, contemporary significance, great values, longevity and cultural influence over 80 years.

The program brings together many famous artists such as People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Anh Tho, Dao To Loan, Viet Danh, Bao Yen, Phuc Dai...

In addition, gong artists from Dak Lak province, Bac Ninh quan ho singers, Thoi Gian group, Phuong Nam group, choir, Contemporary Dance Group and Hy Vong Dance Group will also participate in the performance, contributing to creating a solemn and emotional artistic atmosphere.
