The project to renovate roads and build Thuy Van Park, costing over 1,000 billion VND, is expected to completely change the appearance of Bai Sau. Residents and tourists can enjoy maximum amenities, gradually turning Vung Tau into a center of marine economy.
According to Dan Viet reporters, machines and workers are busy constructing along the coast of Bai Sau on Thuy Van Street (Vung Tau City).
The project to renovate the road and build Thuy Van Park started on October 28 on an area of about 19.21 hectares with a total investment of VND 1,094 billion, including VND 160 billion in compensation and site clearance support costs.
This is a public investment project from the budget of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province with two main items: construction of Thuy Van park and upgrading of technical infrastructure of Thuy Van street.
The construction unit is simultaneously using machinery to dismantle and level the ground.
Previously, on November 18, the People's Committee of Vung Tau City forcibly reclaimed an area of more than 38,800 square meters of land from Hai Duong International Tourism Joint Stock Company and Vung Tau International Tourism Joint Stock Company in the Back Beach area of Vung Tau to implement the project.
However, according to observations, along Bai Sau there are still businesses that have not dismantled their constructions, even though all the other units around have handed over their premises to the local authorities.
Thuy Van Street will be renovated and upgraded with items such as median strip; rainwater and wastewater drainage system; suitable green tree replacement...
The Thuy Van Park project (3.2km long along the coast of Bai Sau area) will be implemented on a total area of over 19.2 hectares, including renovating the existing park area from Phan Chu Trinh Street to the Tourist Management and Support Center (building A3) with an area of about 2.15 hectares; building a new park of over 17 hectares from San Ho Xanh tourist area to Nguyen An Ninh Street with culinary spaces, festivals, experiences...
This is one of the important projects aiming at the goal of "Developing Vung Tau City into a high-quality, international-class tourism center" and is a key project towards celebrating the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
According to the Director of the Vung Tau City Construction Investment Project Management Board, the company that has not yet dismantled the cluster of constructions on the beach belongs to the Imperial Vung Tau Hotel unit. Currently, this company is entangled in an international competition, so they have to use Bai Sau as planned until December 13. The authorities are working with the relevant units to find a time to reconcile the interests of both parties.
