According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the water level of the Red River in Hanoi is rising rapidly, reaching alert level 1 in the next 12 hours; then it may reach alert level 2 in the next 24 hours.

On the alluvial plain at the foot of Long Bien bridge, many houses are submerged in water.
The local government is actively assisting people in evacuating.
The Red River and Duong River areas are at risk of flooding along the banks of Phuc Xa (Ba Dinh), Ngoc Lam ferry, both sides of Long Bien bridge, the foot of Nhat Tan bridge, Thang Long bridge, and behind Long Bien market.
People stopped on Long Bien bridge because they were surprised by the rising flood water.
In the next 24 hours, water levels on the Red River and Duong River will continue to rise rapidly.
On the morning of September 10, authorities stopped all trains passing through Long Bien Bridge, while other vehicles continued to operate normally.
On the same day, the Hanoi Department of Transport requested to restrict some vehicles from passing through Chuong Duong Bridge.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has warned that many inner-city streets may be flooded 10-20 cm deep. Notably, some streets may be flooded deeper than 25-30 cm.
The Red River floodwaters are now approaching Chuong Duong and Long Bien bridges, warning of flooding risk in Hanoi.
