TPO - Recently, the Hanoi Department of Transport proposed to build 3 underpasses on the Ring Road 3 axis, including the underpass at the Hoang Quoc Viet - Pham Van Dong - Tran Vy intersection with a total estimated investment of about 2,293 billion VND.

The Hanoi Department of Transport has just reported to the City People's Committee on the implementation of reports proposing investment policies and pre-feasibility studies of upcoming traffic projects in the area.

Accordingly, the Department of Transport was assigned to research and prepare a report proposing investment policies for 10 public investment projects and 1 private project in the form of PPP, including the underpass at the intersection of Hoang Quoc Viet - Pham Van Dong.

The project to build an underpass on Hoang Quoc Viet Street, extending it to Pham Van Dong Street and connecting it to Tran Vy Street, has a total expected length of 357m (including a 135m closed tunnel and a 222m open tunnel).

The project has a total investment (estimated) of 2,293 billion VND. The expected tunnel length is from lane 487 Hoang Quoc Viet to lane 233 Pham Van Dong.

This project belongs to the West Lake - Ba Vi axis project with the starting point at the intersection of Hoang Quoc Viet - Pham Van Dong street, the ending point at National Highway 21, Co Dong commune, Son Tay.

The above-mentioned tunnel project aims to gradually complete the West Lake - Ba Vi radial axis route, strengthen the connection between Hoang Quoc Viet Street and Tran Vy Street, and reduce the load on Mai Dich intersection and existing Route 32.

Tran Vy Street is built synchronously with the area with a median strip with green trees similar to Hoang Quoc Viet Street.

With this project, many houses in Mai Dich ward (Cau Giay district) will be relocated.
