At this event, Miss Le Hoang Phuong - Representative of Vietnam and more than 70 contestants from countries and territories around the world , along with Miss and Runner-up in Vietnam, performed Ao Dai to promote Vietnamese traditional costumes.

Watching the performance of Le Hoang Phuong and the contestants of Miss Grand International 2023, Mr. Nawat said he noticed that the ao dai is very diverse, from ao dai combined with high crowns to modernized costumes.

Sharing with PV Dan Viet about the quality of Miss Grand International 2023 contestants, the President of Miss Grand Peace commented that the contestants, in addition to possessing perfect appearances, had impressive performances. "Whether the contestants have white skin, dark skin, or high noses, it is not as important as the fact that they performed very well. I evaluate the contestants by their thinking, which is shown through the way the contestants perform, catwalk, answer questions, interact with fans and this is very important.

In addition, an equally important thing is the entertainment value of the girls. Because I look for Misses who can do many things such as: singing, modeling, becoming a star, acting... That is the quality I want to find in the contestants of the Miss Grand International 2023 contest," Mr. Nawat expressed.

Miss Grand International President Nawat reveals how to choose Top 10, Top 5 after bikini round

Referring to the three upcoming important competition nights including the National Costume competition, the semi-finals and the finals of Miss Grand International 2023, Mr. Nawat said that the National Costume competition alone is not simply a fashion show.

"The contestants will have their own way to show the cultural beauty of their country in the National Costume competition. I remember a few years ago, there was a contestant who presented pho in this competition. They held the pho noodles in their hands and ate them, which was very cute and helped promote the delicious food in their home country. Regarding the Miss Grand International 2023 final night, I apologize that there is only 1 crown and 4 more runners-up. The Top 5 Miss Grand International 2023 will stay in Vietnam for 10 days to promote Vietnamese culture," Mr. Nawat added.

According to the President of Miss Grand, he did not score the contestants' appearance in the Best in Swimsuit competition: "With the show, I want to see them perform happily and immerse themselves in the performance. I will not score their appearance, as long as they feel happy with it."

When asked about the selection of Top 5, Top 10 Miss Grand International 2023 at the present time, the President of Miss Grand said that he has not chosen anyone yet. According to Mr. Nawat, the closed interview round is a very important part of the competition. Through this part, the Miss Grand Organizing Committee will know which girl is willing to work with the competition, accepting that she will have to leave her homeland within a year of her term.

Currently, Le Hoang Phuong is actively participating in activities within the framework of the Miss Grand International 2023 contest taking place in Vietnam. After the bikini competition, the Miss Grand International Organizing Committee updated the temporary rankings to attract the attention of the beauty-loving community. Accordingly, the Vietnamese representative is temporarily leading in this voting table. The remaining positions in the Top 5 Best In Swimsuit are temporarily held by representatives from Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia and Peru.

However, this is not the final result because according to information from the Miss Grand International Organizing Committee, voting for contestants in the Best In Swimsuit competition will officially close at 10:00 a.m. this morning (October 17).
