My An Border Guard Station propagates prevention of IUU fishing

(GLO)- From October 21 to 23, My An Border Guard Station coordinated with the People's Committee of My Duc commune to organize propaganda to prevent and combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; at the same time, provided and distributed propaganda leaflets to 100 vehicle owners in the area of ​​3 communes: An Luong, Phu My Dong and Phu My Bac.

At the propaganda session, representatives of My An Border Guard Station informed about some regulations related to the management of fishing activities, prevention and combat of IUU fishing; Resolution No. 04 guiding the application of some regulations of the Penal Code on criminal prosecution for acts related to illegal fishing, trading and transportation of aquatic products; some skills on responding to accidents at sea.

On this occasion, My An Border Guard Station also instructed fishermen on how to use QR codes, report the location of fishing vessels when losing connection signal, and answered some questions and recommendations during operations at sea.
