Coast Guard propagates the law to the people

On the morning of October 23, Reconnaissance Team No. 1 (Vietnam Coast Guard Command) coordinated with Ha Long Border Guard Station (Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command) to organize propaganda activities, provide guidance and disseminate legal knowledge to people in the Van Don Special Economic Zone. The program aims to raise fishermen's awareness in exploiting and catching aquatic products in accordance with regulations, contributing to preventing and ending illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

Coast Guard and Border Guard forces presented national flags and medical bags to fishermen.

At the propaganda session, officers and soldiers of Reconnaissance Team No. 1 (Vietnam Coast Guard Command) and Ha Long Border Guard Station propagated the following contents: Fishermen during the exploitation process must not violate foreign waters; IUU fishing violations will be strictly handled; must not negatively impact the national image in the international arena, negatively affect bilateral cooperation activities with countries in the region, reduce the reputation of the fisheries industry and impact the lives and livelihoods of coastal fishing communities... Besides, the exploitation and capture of aquatic products must follow the correct procedures to ensure aquatic resources as well as protect the prescribed sea areas and fishing grounds...

The Coast Guard distributes leaflets on regulations for safe fishing and seafood exploitation.

On this occasion, Reconnaissance Group No. 1 (Vietnam Coast Guard Command) in coordination with Ha Long Border Guard Station presented gifts including medical bags, national flags and life jackets to fishermen. These meaningful gifts aim to support people in equipping themselves with necessary items, ensuring safety during the process of working and exploiting seafood at sea.
