On the afternoon of October 23, comrade Nguyen Duc Tuan, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong city attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the "Great Unity" house for Ms. Nguyen Thi Suot (born in 1948) in Cu Tri village, Thanh Mien commune.
Mrs. Suot is a lonely elderly person, a relative of a martyr. The house where Mrs. Suot lives was built a long time ago and is now seriously degraded.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city supported 100 million VND from the “For the Poor” Fund for Ms. Suot to build a house. The remaining funds were mobilized from relatives, clans and villagers. The new house has an area of 70 m2 , expected to be completed by mid-December.

Nguyen Duc Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, believes that Ms. Suot's family will consider the house as a source of encouragement and motivation to overcome difficulties. The Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Mien commune will continue to support the family and build a project that ensures quality, safety, and completion on schedule, creating a solid and sturdy home to help the family stabilize their lives.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city supported the construction of "Great Unity" houses for 6 other households in Thanh Mien and Nam Thanh Mien communes.
