Tien Phong is a commune in a particularly difficult area of ​​Phu Tho province, with difficult traffic conditions and a poverty rate of up to 20%, many of whom have difficulty with housing. Implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people in the 2024 - 2025 period, Tien Phong commune has supported the construction and repair and upgrading of 144 houses. Currently, the commune has completed 100% of the plan; including 116 newly built houses and 28 repaired houses.

To effectively carry out the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses, Tien Phong commune has reviewed, counted, assessed the current situation, and learned about the circumstances of households that need to build or repair houses, in order to have a support plan. Because many households are in particularly difficult circumstances, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee has advised the local Party Committee and authorities to mobilize the participation of the entire political system, mobilizing all resources to implement this program as quickly and effectively as possible.

The recent storms No. 10 and No. 11 caused widespread rain across the province, including Tien Phong commune. However, the newly completed temporary houses put into use have truly become solid, sturdy homes, sheltering families with many difficulties.

Having a new house, the whole family can feel secure and excited to do business .

Implementing the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", Tien Phuong commune (formerly Tien Phong commune and Vay Nua commune) has seriously and urgently reviewed and fully updated the list of households with housing difficulties, not missing any subjects, avoiding duplication, ensuring publicity, transparency, and targeting the right subjects; resolutely directing the commencement and completion of the remaining houses under the national target program before August 31, 2025, and houses for meritorious people to be completed before July 20, 2025. In the process of implementing the elimination of temporary houses in Tien Phong commune, many difficulties and problems have been resolved by the local government.

Comrade Ban Kim Quy - Chairman of Tien Phong Commune People's Committee said: Many poor households, eligible for support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses, are Dao ethnic people. Dao ethnic people often build and repair houses at the end of the year, so it is very difficult to mobilize them to build and repair houses at the beginning and middle of the year. By May 2025, there were still 12 households eligible to receive support but had not yet started construction because "the day was not yet, the year was not yet". However, with the persistent persuasion and mobilization of local Party committees and authorities, the households agreed. By August 31, Tien Phong commune had completed the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses.

In order for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses to be implemented to the right target, the review work was seriously implemented by Tien Phong commune. Households that have escaped poverty, have escaped near poverty, have solid wooden houses, have moved to other places, have received support... are promptly compiled and removed from the list to avoid duplication and wrong targets.

Reality shows that the support for the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses in Tien Phong commune has ensured publicity, transparency, and is consistent with the customs, practices, and actual conditions of households, while also being consistent with the local ethnic cultural identity and ensuring the 3 hard "hard foundation, hard wall, hard roof" according to housing regulations; ensuring the area according to regulations. The program has aroused the will to escape poverty of the people, aroused the spirit of mutual love and support among the people, the contribution and assistance of the community, affirmed the spirit of solidarity and has profound humanistic meaning.
