Kinhtedothi - On December 11, in Can Tho city, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) held a conference to review the activities of the Emulation Cluster of 5 centrally-run cities in 2024.
Mr. Do Van Chien - Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, directed the conference.
Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu said that the Conference to review the work of the Front of the 5 Central Cities Emulation Cluster in 2024 is an opportunity for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city to exchange and learn experiences, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of the Front's work in the coming time.
At the same time, the Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee hopes that the delegates attending the conference will exchange and share experiences and contribute ideas and practical proposals for the common development of the 5 centrally-run cities, as well as improve the quality and effectiveness of the Front's activities in particular. Thereby, contributing to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City having the conditions and opportunities to access, learn and improve its tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at all levels of the city for the 2024 - 2029 term.
At the conference, the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho city briefly reported on the results of the Front's work in 2024 of the Emulation Cluster of 5 cities.
Accordingly, the Fatherland Front of the 5 cities has proactively developed and implemented a program of coordinated and unified action in 2024 in conjunction with local political tasks; identified and implemented key and focal tasks and achieved many outstanding results.
Specifically, well implementing the work of launching support for the "For the Poor" fund and social security programs in the locality, mobilizing the "For the Poor" Fund at 3 levels to get more than 278.51 billion VND, mobilizing support for the construction and repair of 3,451 solidarity houses, with a total value of more than 194.6 billion VND, contributing to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" launched by the Prime Minister...
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Van Chien - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front acknowledged, commended and congratulated the outstanding achievements of the Fatherland Front of 5 cities in 2024.
In addition, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front requested that in 2025, the Fatherland Front Committees of 5 cities need to focus on studying and effectively implementing the Resolutions of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, the Resolution of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and urgently and well implement the 6 programs decided by the Congress.
Focus on participating in criticism and giving opinions on documents of the Party Congress at the same level, Draft documents of the 14th Party Congress. Promote the implementation of patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns; identify the focus and key point of social security work as the whole country joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor by 2025.
"To improve the effectiveness of emulation movements, major campaigns must act together according to the motto "Think honestly, speak honestly, do honestly, and let the people enjoy honestly". Whatever we do, we must weigh and measure the results with telling numbers," Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized.
