In the period of 2021 - 2025, the movement of farmers competing in production, good business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty continues to be maintained and developed in both quantity and quality.
On average, each year, the number of farmers registering for the title of good farmers and businessmen at all levels is more than 49,340/82,234 households, accounting for more than 60% of the total number of farming households in the province. Up to now, the whole province has 25,630 households achieving the title of good farmers and businessmen at all levels, an increase of 420 households compared to 2020. The number of good farmers and businessmen with an income of over 1 billion VND/year has increased 2-3 times compared to the period 2016 - 2020.
Promoting the tradition of solidarity and mutual love, good farmers and business households at all levels also help over 16,630 households in difficult circumstances and poor households with plants, seeds, machinery, agricultural materials, labor days, technical guidance, and effective production methods. Creating jobs on the spot for over 16,000 workers, of which over 6,000 workers have regular jobs, over 10,000 workers have seasonal jobs and other ancillary jobs.
From implementing the movement, farmers in the province have gradually transformed the structure of crops and livestock towards linking production value chains; exploiting local potentials and advantages, forming concentrated production areas, and the products created have become high-value OCOP goods and products, carrying local brands.
There have been many advanced models, outstanding examples of farmers, representing the spirit of creative and dynamic labor, with the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, striving to enrich themselves, their families and society. Contributing significantly to the development of socio-economic, educational security, bringing practical benefits to farmers, receiving the consensus and support of the people. Economic models born from the movement have helped poor farmers escape poverty more and more sustainably. Thereby gathering, attracting members, building an increasingly strong association.
Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang requested the Provincial Farmers' Association to step up propaganda and guidance to all levels of the association and its members on the contents of the Party and State's guidelines, resolutions and policies.
Continue to lead and direct the implementation of the movement in conjunction with the implementation of tasks, programs, and projects for local socio-economic development, and national target programs. Actively coordinate with relevant departments, branches, and units in supporting farmers to produce according to market demand, increase value per unit area; link with businesses to produce according to the value chain.
Promote the transfer of science and technology, digital transformation into production. Increase support and build typical examples of good farmers and businessmen in mountainous areas, who are ethnic minorities.
Propose that good farmers and businessmen continue to strive to improve production and business efficiency; combine production development with processing to create products with local brands; at the same time become the core in developing the collective economy, building professional farmer branches and associations, and leading and supporting other farming households to develop production and business.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments, branches and units to continue to have practical and synchronous support policies so that farmers' associations at all levels can truly become "midwives" for farmers. Thereby, bringing the movement to a new level of development in quality, practicality and efficiency, aiming at socio-economic development, building new rural areas, improving farmers' lives and building a strong association.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 40 individuals who had many achievements in the movement of farmers competing in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty in the period 2021 - 2025.
