Consul General of Vietnam attends Laos' traditional New Year Bunpimay and Thailand's Songkran

On the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay New Year, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh, his wife and the staff of the Consulate General visited the Lao Consulate General in Khon Kaen, Thailand to wish a happy New Year.

Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh thanked the Lao Consulate General for always supporting the activities of the Vietnamese Consulate General in recent times.

In an exciting and warm atmosphere, on April 8, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen (Thailand) Dinh Hoang Linh presented a beautiful flower basket and sent best wishes to Consul General Somsack Vilaythone, his wife and the staff of the Lao Consulate General.

Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh thanked the Lao Consulate General for always supporting the activities of the Vietnamese Consulate General in the past time, and highly appreciated Consul General Somsack Vilaythone for actively participating and contributing to the success of the recent Homeland Spring program. In 2025, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh believes that the Lao Consulate General will continue to effectively coordinate with the Vietnamese Consulate General in many tasks and activities in the area.

Consul General Somsack Vilaythone expressed his gratitude for the kind gestures, highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnamese Consulate General in the past time and hoped that the two Consulates General would coordinate to organize cultural exchange activities between the Vietnamese community and the Lao people in the area. Thereby, further strengthening the spirit of special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the people of the two countries.

On the occasion of Thailand's traditional Songkran New Year, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh and his wife visited the Mekong Research Institute and the Khon Kaen Provincial Industry Chamber to wish a happy New Year.

Also during this time, on the occasion of Thailand's traditional Songkran New Year, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh and his wife visited the Mekong Research Institute and the Khon Kaen Provincial Industry Department to wish them a Happy New Year. Mr. Dinh Hoang Linh highly appreciated the role of the Mekong Research Institute in contributing to the sustainable development of the Mekong River Basin as well as initiatives to protect water security in the region.

On behalf of the Institute's leadership, Executive Director Suriyan Vichitlekarn thanked the Vietnamese Consul General for his New Year greetings, valuing Thailand's traditional cultural values, and hoped that the Consulate General would support the connection and strengthen cooperation between the Institute and relevant agencies of Vietnam.

On April 9, at the invitation of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khon Kaen branch, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh and his wife attended the Buddha bathing ceremony and wished a happy Songkran in Khon Kaen. Also in attendance were Khon Kaen Deputy Governor Siriwat Pinitpanit, Lao Consul General Somsack Vilaythone and his wife.

At the event, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh sent his best wishes to the leaders of the Government, the Department of Industry and the people of Khon Kaen province, expressing his belief that in the new year Khon Kaen will achieve more success in its socio -economic development plans to build a smart city and develop a sustainable economy .

Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh highly appreciated Khon Kaen province's signing of a cooperation agreement with Da Nang city, hoping that there will be specific activities to promote the implementation of bilateral cooperation plans, bringing practical economic benefits to both sides in the coming time.

Mr. Dinh Hoang Linh congratulated Khon Kaen province on successfully organizing the Tet festival of the three countries Vietnam - Thailand - China for the first time, emphasizing that this is an important cultural event, helping to unite the community, build a multicultural society, and is the foundation for promoting socio-economic development.
