Protests also took place in several other cities across Iran, including Tabriz in the northwest and Shiraz in the south.

In a speech after the US airstrikes on nuclear facilities in Iran, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the attack showed that Washington was the main force behind Israel's military campaign against the Islamic Republic.

"The US entered the conflict after witnessing Israel's helplessness. This action shows that the US is the main force behind Israel's hostile actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran," Iranian President Pezeshkian accused.
