NBC News reported on October 13 that a spokesman for the Ukrainian Embassy in the US said that leader Zelensky is expected to meet President Trump at the White House on October 13.
President Trump appeared to confirm the meeting while speaking to reporters on Air Force One on his way back from the Middle East. Asked if he would host Zelensky on October 17, Trump replied: "I think so."

Ukrainian Ambassador to the US Olga Stefanishyna confirmed that President Trump had invited Mr Zelensky to meet him this week, according to Ukrainian Embassy spokeswoman Halyna Yusypiuk. The Financial Times had previously reported on the planned visit.
President Trump recently said he was considering approving the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. Providing the long-range missiles would mark a new level of US support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.
"We can do that. I think it's appropriate to raise it - yes, I would like to do that. I would like to see the conflict resolved," Mr. Trump told reporters privately on Air Force One.
President Trump also said he and leader Zelensky had a phone call over the weekend, discussing the possibility of Ukraine obtaining Tomahawk missiles.
"We'll see," the White House chief continued.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned the US against supplying weapons, saying it would be "a new stage of escalation, including in relations between Russia and the US".
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev also warned that the US supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine "could have bad consequences for everyone, and first of all for Mr. Trump himself."
