10 businesses named

Vietnam Report has just announced the ranking of the top 50 prestigious and effective public companies in 2025.

The top 10 list names listed companies including FPT, Vietcombank, MBBank, HDBank, ACV, BIDV, VietinBank, Techcombank, ACB , Vinhomes.

Vietnam Report's report shows that the total net profit of listed enterprises in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 22.6% over the same period, marking the sixth consecutive quarter of increase.

According to assessments from experts and public enterprises, the direct impact of tariffs on growth in 2025 is not clear in the short term.

The impact on manufacturing sectors will vary depending on the proportion of exports to the US market in each sector's total exports, as well as the level of competition from other countries in the same sector.

In addition, some items are still enjoying tariff incentives according to commitments in the Vietnam - US Trade Agreement effective from December 2001.

However, if the tax rate is applied at a significantly high level and is prolonged, the risk will spread more strongly to many manufacturing industries and affect international investment flows.

Potential industry with many growth stocks

In the context of tariffs remaining an unknown, investment flows are tending to seek industries that are considered less affected by fluctuations in international trade.

This partly explains the list of top 5 potential industry groups with the most growth stocks in 2025, according to the perspective of experts and public enterprises in Vietnam Report's survey.

Service sectors that serve the domestic market or have a sustainable growth foundation and are less directly affected by global trade fluctuations are receiving more expectations.

The banking industry continues to maintain its position, leading for three consecutive years with the percentage of experts and public enterprises assessing its growth potential at 75.7% (2023), 88.9% (2024) and increasing to 90.0% in 2025, respectively.

The report pointed out that although net interest margin (NIM) continues to be under pressure due to the competitive environment of low lending interest rates and bad debt control remains a significant challenge in the context of many unpredictable variables, the industry still has growth opportunities if monetary policy continues to be flexibly managed in the direction of supporting economic recovery.

In 2025, real estate - construction - building materials witnessed a sharp increase in the voting rate of experts and public enterprises compared to the same period last year, according to the report.

The merger of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Transport opens up expectations for a more centralized and effective coordination apparatus in planning and implementing key projects.

Vietnam Report noted that the picture of this group is differentiated. While civil real estate and infrastructure have growth opportunities from public investment and support policies, the industrial real estate segment - which is expected to be a "long-term bright spot" - is facing cautious sentiment from experts and public enterprises, due to the unknown of tariffs.

If favorable trade agreements are not reached, new FDI flows into this sector may be limited, investment plans may be more cautious, leading to a slowdown in demand for industrial land lease, factory construction, and supporting infrastructure development.

The remaining two industry groups in the top 5 potential industries with many growth stocks in 2025 according to forecasts are retail (56.7%) and information technology - telecommunications (46.7%).
