Recently, many dealers have started accepting deposits for the new version of this pickup line, revealing the delivery time around January 2026 – just before Lunar New Year. The official price has not been announced by Toyota Vietnam, but is expected to start from 800 million and reach 1.1 billion VND. However, the new Hilux's price increase is understandable if you look at the price range in the Thai market, where the Hilux double-cabin variants are being sold for between 895,000 and 1,366,000 baht (equivalent to 727 million to 1.11 billion VND).
The new generation Toyota Hilux 2026 was launched in Thailand in early November 2025. The car has a stronger and more modern design with the "Cyber Sumo" style. The large grille and sharp LED lights create a majestic appearance at the front, while the rear of the car is refined with new graphic LED taillights, a redesigned rear bumper and new cargo handle. Additionally, the vehicle also has a rear step, improving access to the cargo bed, along with a power tailgate assist feature on the higher trim levels. 18-inch wheels appear on the 4TREX and Prerunner Overland trims, while lower variants use 17-inch wheels. Inside, the 2026 Hilux interior has a modern design similar to the Land Cruiser line, featuring a horizontal dashboard and a dual 12.3-inch screen cluster: one for the central entertainment system and one for the digital clock cluster in front of the steering wheel.
The amenities of the 2026 Toyota Hilux pickup truck are upgraded with dual-zone automatic air conditioning, wireless charging, electronic handbrake, multiple USB ports, Softex leather interior and 8-speaker sound system. The new generation Hilux maintains the 2.8L turbocharged diesel engine code 1GD-FTV, providing a maximum capacity of 204 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque (6-speed automatic transmission). The manual transmission version limits torque to 420 Nm. The vehicle has the option of rear-wheel drive or part-time 4-wheel drive with rear differential lock. For the first time, the Multi-Terrain Select terrain control system is equipped, supporting 5 modes: Dirt, Sand, Mud, Rock and Deep Snow. Hilux Travo-e is the first pure electric variant in the history of this pickup line.
The vehicle is equipped with two electric motors (front - rear) for a total capacity of 196 horsepower, combined with a 59.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The system supports AC charging up to 11 kW and DC fast charging up to 125 kW, for an operating range of about 315 km according to NEDC standards. The entire Hilux 2026 uses a new "Dynamic Cloud" floor structure, increasing body rigidity and reducing vibration. The car is also equipped with hydraulic engine mounts and improved shock absorbers to improve operating comfort. Toyota Safety Sense becomes standard on all versions, including: blind spot warning, 360-degree camera, forward collision warning, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, hill descent control, hill start assist, front/rear sensors and trailer sway control.
