Toyota Veloz 2024 is about to have a hybrid engine variant

According to information from the Marketing Director of Toyota Astra Motor, which is in charge of distributing Toyota in Indonesia, this unit will introduce a hybrid model of the company at the GAIKINDO 2023 exhibition, taking place from August 10 to 20. Previously, Bob Azam - Director of External Affairs of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia revealed: "We have 3 variants developed in Indonesia this year. That is Innova Zenix, Yaris Cross and Veloz. Two of the three models have been launched with hybrid variants."

Currently, the technical specifications of the Veloz Hybrid have not been revealed. However, Mr. Anton Jimmi Suwandy, Toyota representative in Indonesia, suggested that the Veloz Hybrid could use the same battery and powertrain as the Yaris Cross Hybrid. "We chose the lithium-ion battery on the Yaris Cross Hybrid because it is small, compact and suitable for daily use. As for the Innova Zenix Hybrid, a more suitable battery will be needed to meet the needs of use," Mr. Anton added.

This is not surprising as this model has been revealed before. In addition, Toyota's representative in Indonesia also said that the price of the Toyota Veloz hybrid 2024 will fluctuate around IDR 300 million (about VND 475 million). Currently, the Toyota Yaris Hybrid in the Indonesian market has a starting price of IDR 440.6 million (about VND 697 million).

If the Toyota Veloz Hybrid 2024 is sold for around IDR 300 million (about VND 475 million), this will be Toyota's cheapest hybrid model sold in this "island country". It is predicted that after Indonesia, this model will also be brought to Vietnam.
