This event is part of the school football project, co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training and Nestle MILO. After 12 years of implementation (from the 2013-2014 school year, only 40 schools with 1,500 students participated), this playground has now attracted 262 primary schools with more than 18,000 students participating until the end of the 2024-2025 school year. The school football program has created excitement for students. The process of practicing and competing in football not only helps students maintain and improve their health, but alsoeducates them about discipline, enhances perseverance, and solidarity in collective activities.

The final round will take place over 5 days, from May 19 to 23. The matches will be played in a knockout format. If there is a draw in the 2 main rounds, a 6m penalty shootout (5 kicks) will take place. For mixed events, the 2nd, 4th, 7th and 9th kicks must be taken by female players.

The festival is not only a place for students to compete and demonstrate their talents, but also a playground to help them practice their health, discipline and team spirit. At the same time, through the tournament, HFF also plans to discover and nurture young football talents for the city and the whole country.

Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation and President of HFF Tran Anh Tu said: "We are very happy to see the children experiencing a playground like this. When I was in school, I also wanted to have such a playground. This is a useful playground for students and schools. The passion of the children makes us responsible to do better, and at the same time is the motivation for us to maintain this program. In particular, this program is even more meaningful when it is organized on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday. Therefore, this is also learning from the example of the great Uncle Ho."
