Ho Chi Minh City gives 300 Tet gifts to ethnic minorities

Carrying out the work of caring for ethnic minorities in the area, on January 16, the Ho Chi Minh City Ethnic Committee organized a meeting with families of veteran revolutionaries and presented 300 Tet gifts for the year of the Snake 2025 to disadvantaged households.

According to Ms. Dang Thi Tuyet Mai, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Ethnic Committee, recently, the Ethnic Committee has coordinated with the Chinese Association in Ho Chi Minh City to effectively and practically carry out the work of taking care of the Lunar New Year 2025 among ethnic minorities.

On the occasion of Tet this year, the Ethnic Committee coordinated to present 300 Tet gifts to ethnic minority households that are poor, near-poor, and in difficult circumstances. The value of each gift is 1 million VND (500,000 VND in cash, 500,000 VND in gifts).

At the meeting, the HCM City Ethnic Committee also presented a "Thank You Letter" to the Chinese Association for actively participating with the Committee in caring for ethnic minorities in the area.

In addition to giving Tet gifts to ethnic minority households, on this occasion, the Ethnic Committee also awarded 25 scholarships (worth 50 million VND) to support ethnic minority students with difficult circumstances in the area.

In addition, the Board also presented gifts to 8 families of veteran revolutionaries and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, each gift worth 2 million VND ( cash of 1.2 million VND , gift worth 800,000 VND ) and hundreds of gifts to families and outstanding individuals and groups on the occasion of Tet and Spring.

On the same day, the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City held a reception ceremony for the "Humanitarian Fund - Ladies' Ao Dai throughout Europe" . At the same time, presented 100 gifts to disadvantaged women in the program "Spring of Love - Tet of Love" and presented 100 gifts to disadvantaged children at the Little Rose Shelter (District 7).
