Ho Chi Minh City: Support from 4.8 million VND/month for house rent for officials affected by merger

Ho Chi Minh City officials, civil servants and public employees with a position allowance coefficient of 0.9 or higher are supported with 10.4 million VND/person/month for house rent.

On the afternoon of August 28, at the third session, the 10th term Ho Chi Minh City People's Council passed a Resolution on housing rental support policy for officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in Ho Chi Minh City affected by the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units.

The subjects of application are cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of agencies of the Party, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political organizations, socio-political organizations, and public service units; full-time National Assembly deputies of the National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City; civil servants and workers working at agencies in the city, including: Department of Foreign Affairs; Ho Chi Minh City Statistics; Ho Chi Minh City People's Court; Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy; Ho Chi Minh City Tax; Customs Branch of Region II; State Treasury of Region II; State Bank of Region II; Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance; Ho Chi Minh City Civil Judgment Enforcement.

Regarding the support level, cadres, civil servants and public employees with a position allowance coefficient of 0.9 or higher are supported with 10.4 million VND/person/month; cadres, civil servants and public employees with a position allowance coefficient from 0.7 to under 0.9 are supported with 8 million VND/person/month; cadres, civil servants and public employees with a position allowance coefficient below 0.7, without a position allowance coefficient and employees are supported with 4.8 million VND/person/month.

The support period is from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027.

Support levels are applied when competent authorities carry out the mobilization, assignment, and arrangement of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to change their working locations compared to the time before the merger of provincial-level administrative units.
