On July 18, at the Binh Duong Vocational Education and Driving Test Center (Phu Trung Hamlet, Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the Traffic Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police organized a driving license test for more than 330 candidates of all classes, serving the needs of issuing new and changing driving licenses and handling backlog of records in the old Binh Duong province.
At the testing location, the organization took place in an orderly and serious manner. Candidates were given enthusiastic instructions and clearly divided into streams right from the reception stage to the theoretical and practical exams.
Although the number of candidates was quite large, the examination was still carried out according to the correct procedure and there were no incidents.
Mr. Trinh Thanh Tu (living in Di An ward) said he had waited for 7 months to take the exam. When he received the urgent exam notice, he felt a bit pressured because he had forgotten his notes. However, when he arrived at the exam site, he felt reassured because the organization was very professional, the instructors were quick and serious.
Similarly, Ms. Tran Yen Oanh (living in Thu Duc ward) shared that she had failed the exam before, so this time she was quite nervous, afraid of forgetting the lesson, and worried because she was afraid of the tense exam atmosphere.
“Contrary to my initial thoughts, everyone here is very supportive, the exam process is clear and methodical. I didn’t have to wait as long as I had worried before,” said Ms. Oanh.

This is the first driving license test to be held in the old Binh Duong province since the administrative boundaries were rearranged and merged into Ho Chi Minh City.
During the peak period from July 18-30, all officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police Department were mobilized to work overtime, overnight and on weekends to meet the progress of receiving, processing and returning documents to people.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department, said that there are currently more than 16,000 pending driver's license applications in Zone 1 of the City.
To complete the task on time, the unit coordinated with testing centers to speed up the completion of the testing grounds, make a list of qualified candidates and organize continuous exams with a frequency of 2 councils per day.
With a thin staffing situation, the Traffic Police Department has proposed that the City Police increase the number of examiners from other professional units to support.
The officers and soldiers of the examination team are imbued with a high working spirit, working overtime, and on duty at night, on Saturdays and Sundays.
At the headquarters, there are always 3-4 officers working in rotation to review records and promptly update data to the Traffic Police Department's system.

Regarding the issuance of documents, the leader of the Traffic Police Department said that currently, the Ho Chi Minh City area has vehicle registration forms available to serve the people according to regulations. However, driver's license forms have not been distributed nationwide.
While waiting for the blanks to be issued, cases that have passed the test will be updated on the Traffic Police Department's driver's license management system and the VNeID application. People can look up and use electronic information when participating in traffic.
The leader of the Traffic Police Department also added that in the early stages of implementing tasks in the merged area, the force encountered difficulties due to the large area, limited human resources, and had to adapt to the new organizational plan.
However, the unit promptly proposed to the City Police to remove obstacles, gradually strengthen the force and stabilize the organization to serve the people more effectively.
In the coming time, the Traffic Police Department will continue to coordinate with relevant units, carefully review backlog records, classify candidates and maintain a high working pace to ensure that all people are tested and issued with full and timely driver's licenses./.
