Ho Chi Minh City promotes e-commerce cooperation with Amazon towards green economy and sustainable development

(HTV) - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung received the Director of Amazon Southeast Asia, discussed cooperation in e-commerce, logistics and sustainable development, and promoting Vietnamese goods to reach the global market.

Within the framework of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung had a meeting and worked with Mr. Larry Hu - Managing Director of Southeast Asia of Amazon Global Selling (Singapore) to discuss cooperation orientations in the field of e-commerce and sustainable development technology.

Welcoming the delegation to the important event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vice President Nguyen Van Dung acknowledged Amazon's efforts in supporting Vietnamese businesses to access the global market through the e-commerce platform.

Amazon leaders affirm that they will continue to support Vietnamese businesses to improve their online business capacity.

He proposed that Amazon join Ho Chi Minh City in developing an ecosystem of e-commerce, logistics, supply chains, green economy, circular economy and building a smart city. In addition, Amazon was also asked to support business incubation and coordinate training of high-tech human resources through partnerships with universities.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung proposed that Amazon accompany and support high-tech human resource training and business incubation.

Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Larry Hu said that there have been more than 17 million units of Vietnamese products successfully traded on Amazon, showing the strong growth potential of Vietnamese goods in the international market. Amazon leaders affirmed that they will continue to accompany and support Vietnamese enterprises to improve their business capacity on the e-commerce platform through training programs, consulting and in-depth technology solutions.

The two sides believe that strategic cooperation will open up many opportunities for Vietnamese goods to reach the global market.
