At the same time, the city is calling on residents and businesses to join hands to support free toilets for tourists . This not only creates more convenience for tourists, this activity also aims to create an image of Hue as friendly and hospitable.

Speaking to Thanh Nien Newspaper, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee, said: "Not only does this program help create more favorable sanitary conditions for tourists, it also helps tourists feel the hospitality of Hue City. This is also a way to raise people's awareness in behaving friendly towards tourists."
Statistics show that 122 locations on 47 streets in the city’s central wards with tourism activities have registered to participate in the program. The city hopes to develop 300-500 free sanitation sites that meet standards to serve tourists before the Hue Traditional Craft Festival takes place on April 28.
Hue City Party Secretary Phan Thien Dinh said that developing a system of public toilets for tourists is also a way to raise people's awareness in behaving friendly towards tourists.
Participating establishments will have signs posted according to the model shown in the picture; at the same time, they will be updated in the information system to introduce to tourists.
Previously, in April 2017, Thua Thien-Hue province implemented the program "Socializing public toilets to serve tourists" which had a good effect on tourists. At that time, visitors to Hue could easily find signs "Welcome WC free" along the main streets of the city such as: Le Loi, Nguyen Hue, Pham Ngu Lao, To Huu, Hung Vuong, Ton Duc Thang, Ly Thuong Kiet, Le Quy Don... Many restaurants, hotels, cafes, state agencies... also hung these "Welcome WC free" signs. At that time, the above activity contributed to improving the tourism environment in Hue, making Hue more friendly in the eyes of tourists.
