Mong Cai City grants support funds to aquaculture households in the first phase of 2025

On January 24, in Tra Co ward, Mong Cai city, a fund was awarded to support the recovery and production restoration of households raising vine mussels that suffered damage due to storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) in the first phase.

Implementing the direction of the City People's Committee, Tra Co ward has reviewed, inspected and assessed the reality, established records; and at the same time, implemented the first support payment for 45 households raising barnacles damaged by storm No. 3 in the ward with a total support budget of over 1.6 billion VND.

It is known that the total estimated area of ​​aquaculture households damaged after storm Yagi in the city is 24.5 hectares; the total value of damage is 173.6 billion VND.

Mong Cai City grants support funds to first phase of aquaculture households.

This time, Mong Cai City plans to pay 102 households with a total budget of over 4 billion VND from the fund for mobilizing, receiving, distributing and using voluntary contributions according to the appeal letter of the City Fatherland Front Committee in the past time (not using the State budget) to support damaged aquaculture households.

The funding support has created conditions for aquaculture households to have more resources to stabilize their lives and restore production and business activities. Mong Cai City is also directing the acceleration of the transfer of aquaculture water surface area according to the planning associated with replacing foam buoys with HDPE plastic buoys, contributing to environmental protection and marine resources protection.
