Ensure equipment and transmission lines
At Chu Van An Secondary School (Cau Ong Lanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), there is no longer a scene of rocks, soil, and construction materials scattered like in late August 2025. A fence has been erected at the end of the yard, separating the school yard from the new construction site.
Ms. Than Thi Tuyet Nhung, Principal of the school, said: The contractor committed to hand over the repair of existing classrooms A and B before the opening day of school.
"This school year, students started school a few days later than the school start date schedule of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. However, the school's opening ceremony will still take place at the same time as schools across the country. After the performance, there will be a welcoming ceremony for 6th grade students. The Principal will give a speech to advise and congratulate the students on their new school year.
At exactly 8am, our school will connect to the National Convention Center so that students and teachers can watch the special opening ceremony, associated with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education ," Ms. Nhung informed.
At Thanh An Primary School (Thanh An Commune, Ho Chi Minh City), the 2025-2026 school year has a total of 256 students. The school's Board of Directors has completed preparations for the opening ceremony on September 5 in two forms: in person and online.
Mr. Le Huu Binh, the school principal, said: the department in charge has checked the transmission lines as well as the equipment to ensure that students, staff and teachers of the school can participate in an online opening ceremony as if they were attending it in person. The school has had more than 10 days to prepare, so everything is now complete.
"In the new school year, we hope that the education sector and other ministries and sectors will continue to pay more attention to social policies for students and teachers in border areas, mountainous areas, and island communes like our school. Because the attention and support from all levels, departments and sectors will certainly motivate teachers and students to be confident in teaching and learning," Mr. Binh shared.

This year's opening ceremony, in addition to the individual activities of each school, from 8:00 to 9:30, delegates, teachers, students and pupils will attend a general program organized by the Ministry of Education and Training , which will be broadcast live.
Important ceremonies will be held in the general program, including the flag salute and the singing of the national anthem. General Secretary To Lam will give a speech and beat the drum to open the school year.
Previously, each school's own programs and activities would start earlier, from 7am to before 8am, or continue after the general program ended.
Preparations for the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year focus on a nationwide online format, with the participation of Party and State leaders and broadcast on VTV1 channel. Schools have basically done a good job of preparing facilities and stable Internet connections to connect to each school, ensuring that administrators, teachers and students can all participate.
Complete the preparation work
At To Ky Secondary School (Hoc Mon Commune, Ho Chi Minh City), preparations for the special opening ceremony on September 5 have also been completed.
This is a school with more than 2,900 students, so the preparation for the online opening ceremony requires more equipment. Accordingly, the school signed a contract to rent 6 large TV screens, installed in the school yard so that students, teachers, and staff can conveniently watch the online opening ceremony.
These TV screens are equipped with transmission equipment to ensure smooth viewing of the opening ceremony, minimizing connection loss.
At Vo Thi Sau High School (Gia Dinh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), Mr. Quan said: a week before the opening day, the school's students participated in many meaningful activities to help them have a joyful and comfortable mindset to enter the new school year.
Mr. Trinh Hoang Quan, Principal of the school, shared: "The details from sound, light, program content... have been carefully prepared by the school and the responsible departments to have the most complete ceremony."
At Tan Phong Kindergarten (Tan Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), up to now, the school grounds, equipment, and toys have been cleaned; desks and chairs are neatly arranged in each classroom; and the teachers have also carefully prepared the performances for the opening ceremony.
"Hopefully, entering the new school year, teachers and students will have many new successes. Tan Phong Kindergarten will always be a happy and safe school, helping parents feel secure and put their trust in the teachers," said Ms. Pham Bao Hanh, Principal of the school.
Mr. Tran Minh Tuan, residing in Phuoc Long ward (HCMC), shared that he has two children entering grade 6 and grade 10 this year. Because the two schools are quite far apart, he and his wife have to split up taking their children to the opening ceremony.
According to the school's announcement, this year's opening ceremony is very special: teachers, students, and pupils will attend a joint program organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, which will be broadcast live.
"Perhaps this will be a memorable event in your student life. Especially, during the days when you go to school before the opening ceremony, the teachers decorated the flags and flowers brightly, making my children very excited and eagerly waiting for the opening day. In the new school year, I just hope that you will be healthy, well-behaved, have fun, and study well at school."
